Speaker: Abdullah Karasan
Short Bio: Abdullah Karasan holds a Master's Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a PhD from Financial Mathematics from Middle East Technical University, Ankara. He started his career as a treasury controller and has since worked as a data science mentor, instructor, and principal data scientist at different companies including Springboard and O'Reilly. Currently, he is working as senior data science consultant at TFI TAB Food Services and faculty at UMBC. His research and publications in the field of financial data science have been well-received, and his book, "Machine Learning for Financial Risk Management with Python" has been published by O'Reilly. He is the founder of Leveragai.
